Chemical PeelsChemical Peels near me - Chemical Peels Concord - Chemical Peels Cambridge - Chemical Peels Waltham, MA - Dermatology Associates of Concord

Chemical peels are topically applied to the skin to remove the damaged outer layers by producing controlled injury. This helps improve the appearance of the skin and is beneficial in the treatment of acne, scarring, uneven skin tone, sun damage, fine lines, and even precancerous lesions.

We offer a variety of superficial, safe chemical peels in our office for anti-aging therapy. We may also prescribe a personalized home skin care program including topical retinoids (Retin-A, retinol), vitamin C, alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic acid), and other products to reduce wrinkling and age spots.

Are Chemical Peels Safe?

Chemical peels are very safe, especially when compared to other cosmetic procedures. Redness or other minor skin irritation may occur but does not last long.

What to Expect from Chemical Peels

Skin peels can be completed in less than 10 minutes depending on the treatment. Some peels have no downtime, while others may cause peeling for a week or longer.

Results vary depending on the type of peel and can last anywhere from months to years if you take care of your skin properly. Chemical peels can be repeated every 2 to 3 weeks until you achieve your desired appearance.

  • Glycolic Acid: One of the most gentle and popular peels, made from natural ingredients
  • Beta Lift: Also made from natural ingredients, this peel reduces the amount of actual skin peeling
  • Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA): A stronger peel, TCA results in more noticeable results

For chemical peels and more, visit Dermatology Associates of Concord. Request an appointment online today or call (978) 254-1600.
