Phototherapy
Phototherapy is an important modality for treatment of a number of skin diseases, especially psoriasis and eczema (atopic dermatitis), as well as some types of skin lymphoma and prelymphoma. We were the first private practice facility to offer photochemotherapy (PUVA) in New England and we have successfully treated nearly 1000 patients over the past 25 years. Our phototherapy department has state-of-the-art narrow band UVB (NB-UVB) full body units, as well as both UVA and NB-UVB hand and foot units. We also have an NB-UVB scalp brush unit specifically for treating scalp disorders.
Our phototherapists are well-trained and attend on-going medical education programs. They provide the competent and compassionate care that patients with phototherapy-responsive skin diseases require. For your convenience, we are open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.(except Thursday) in our Concord office, and from 7:50 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) in our Cambridge office for phototherapy treatments.
